UPPER EAST SIDE, NYC, NY (10/27/2009)(readMedia)– On Wednesday, October 28 at 6:00 PM, United Food and Commercial Workers Union Local 1500, local retail employers, policy experts, and union leaders will convene a debate on the issues faced by grocery store employees and grocery store operators in a recovering economy. Current Upper East Side market Agata & Valentina employees will share why they are struggling to attain the American Dream. Panelists will discuss the ways in which successful grocery businesses can also be community-leading employers. An open discussion will follow.
